Roleplay is the solo project of Anna Haara Kristoferson, the Swedish-born, UK-based artist, multi-instrumentalist and producer known for her work as the lead vocalist of Yassassin. Her sound borders disco, dream pop and electronica, with the immersive soundscapes and rich harmonies of the project drawing the attention of tastemakers and listeners alike.

Roleplay has retuned with “Heavens And Above” the second offering from her forthcoming EP following predecessor single “Come Close”. The fresh cut is a warm and endoscopic disco number that sees the artist working with long-time friend and collaborator Ghost Culture (Goldfrapp, Daniel Avery). Roleplay’s euphoric, translucent vocals are back by a groove-laden instrumental that compliments the artist’s effervescent energy.

Speaking on the single, Roleplay comments, “’Heaven and Above’ is a carefree and upbeat love song about finding someone who makes your heart sing. I tried to capture that euphoria in this song. Falling in love after becoming sober was a new and different experience for me. Very profound and in ways more intoxicating than in the past. This probably had a lot to do with me learning how to feel my own emotions more fully. A very important insight for me during this time was also that an attitude of gratitude is a real game changer. Life and love can be so full of magic and beauty if you start looking for it.”
